SignageOutdoor signage, like stationery, is a necessary part of daily operations that can either enhance or detract from the University's image. Our signage has been upgraded to follow our graphic standards and to provide more comprehensive information for campus visitors. Some signs have been retrofitted with a pediment using the Alabama Official nameplate and an identifier underneath in all-caps Goudy Sans. Buildings that house offices and departments of one college or division will carry the appropriate divisional identifier. Buildings that house offices for more than one college or division will bear the "Founded 1831" identifier. All signs will carry the full divisional name(s) at the bottom in uppercase and lowercase Goudy Sans. The name of the building is given at the top of the sign in all-caps Goudy Sans, and the divisions found within the building are listed in uppercase and lowercase of the same face, with text indented to show subdivisions where needed.
